Description

For a number of years, the municipality of Kayl has been involved in redirecting the most important event regarding the memory of the region and its industrial past (St. Barbara's Day). School workshops were created a few years ago - always with the intention of conveying to young people from all walks of life what region they are living in, what its history is, what the experiences of the women and men who live there are, etc. To show the change in the notion of work, the shift towards 'Den neie Mineur', we will start from memory. The project will be divided into three distinct parts: - a musical at the national monument of the miners; - a graphic novel, among other things, elaborated with the SCRIPT of the Ministry of Education and the Zentrum fir politesch Bildung; - a theatre production for and with young people.

About

Marc Angel is an illustrator and comic-artist, whose reputation began 20 years ago. His works are published with the label INSITU CREATION EDITION. Pol Belardi leads his own bands 'Force', 'Urban Voyage' as well as 'Urban 5' and is part of DillenDub.

Pol Belardi is currently artist in residence at the Neimënster cultural centre. Pushing boundaries further, Pol regularly leads ambitious productions of all sorts. Sandro Bucciarelli began playing the saxophone during his very young years. He followed masterclasses with Jan van der Roost, Arno Bornkamp, Alain Crépin, Otto Schwarz, etc.

Martine Conzemius ist a trained 'deviser'. A 'deviser' is not a classical director in a production. He or she animates the actor’s ensemble and brings the ensemble to a point where they are developing a piece by themselves.

Charles Meder is teaching in a secondary school. In 2018 Charles Meder was rewarded with the Second Prize in the National Literature Contest with his piece 'Geheimdienstkönige'.

Rosch Seimetz is a historian. He plays with words and language in an ironic way. Rosch Seimetz is acting at Théâtre National du Luxembourg in numerous roles.

Andreas Wagner is a playwright at the Théâtre National du Luxembourg and a trained musicologist. During the last years, Andreas Wagner worked in over 80 productions for theatre in Luxembourg and abroad.
