Europe’s future (in French)

Can we imagine Europe’s future through intercultural creation and artistic means? Or could we forge new links together, whilst respecting the environment across the whole continent? Could dance, or architecture, bring citizens together, transcend the different languages and create new communication tools? How could architecture change the way in which we move around and meet up in cities? Come and discuss this over a drink with the partners of four exciting Esch2022 projects.

Discover the “EDEN EUROPA” project with Emmanuel Fleitz. It aims to create links between the inhabitants of the area, on both sides of the Franco-Luxembourg border, through live performances, the construction of gardens and green urban scenographic spaces.

Discover the “Choreochroma” Project with Rhiannon Morgan from the Lucoda company. Bring together two choreographers, a dancer, a painter and two video artists in a museum to create ideas together! The Choreochroma project is a laboratory between different media and artistic visions, based on the painting by the important Serbian modernist artist Sava Šumanović, The Luncheon on the Grass. Inspired by the two European Capitals of Culture, Esch2022 and Novi Sad, the joint project has developed into a creative and cultural exchange exploring the links between live performance and painting. The result is a multimedia research project that combines dance, painting, video, music and photography, questioning their relationship to time and space, their respective differences and commonalities, in order to allow a common form of expression to emerge. The audience is invited to participate in a multidimensional experience, a choreographic performance that is simultaneously sensory, auditory and visual, inviting them to explore the works of historical heritage with a contemporary gaze.

Discover with Pascal Lazarus, “Le Mixeur”, a project for a temporary restaurant in which all the elements – from the elaboration of the recipes to the design of the restaurant – are imagined and realised with the inhabitants of the territory. This restaurant will become a collective creation and a place for sharing food and cultures, in the image of a Europe based on the values of diversity and hospitality.
