Established as one of the foremost violinists of his generation, Stefan Milenković was the first to perform in the new Concert Hall in Novi Sad, marking the beginning of its work as an artistic director of the Concert Hall and one of the curators of classical music of the ‘Novi Sad 2022 – European Capital of Culture’ project.

He performed together with the Novi Sad chamber orchestra ‘Camerata Academica’ in the first-ever concert in the new Concert Hall as part of ‘Doček’, the programme arch that celebrates the multiculturalism of Novi Sad. The programme was viewed by more than 200.000 people, both online and via Serbia’s public broadcaster – Radio Television of Serbia. Novi Sad is getting ready to welcome the year 2022, when it will shine as the European Capital of Culture, together with Esch and Kaunas. The programme that is going to be realised during the title year is planned to be presented in June this year, while the grand opening is already planned for 13 January 2022, within one of the key programme arches – ‘Doček’.
