Differdange

Located in the southwest of the Grand Duchy is the third-largest city, Differdange. It is situated in the picturesque valley of the Korn River, surrounded by an exceptionally beautiful landscape ideal for long forest walks. Known as the “City of Iron”, Differdange was once the most important industrial centre which explains why the population increased significantly and developed into a modern and multicultural city. So that Differdange can continue to offer its citizens a high quality of life, despite the population increase, the city has established the necessary public services to enable the further development of neighbourhoods, housing construction, as well as the development of the economy and education. In addition to this, the 1535° Creative Hub was created in the former ArcelorMittal buildings, a highly sought-after workplace for creatives at an affordable price. Above all however, Differdange is known for its countless cultural and leisure activities, such as the annual Steampunk Convention, a two-day artistic and musical event for steampunk fashion fans.
