Bettembourg

Bettembourg, located in the southern part of the Grand Duchy, is a municipality that offers a wide range of leisure and cultural activities and is particularly well visited by families. Bettembourg is located on an important national and international railway line and a busy motorway junction, which facilitates the passage to the neighbouring countries, France and Germany, and is as a result regarded as the gateway to the south and the east. Apart from its favourable geographical location, the municipality charms visitors and locals alike, with nature reserves that contribute to the preservation of a valuable natural heritage. This also has a positive effect on the quality of life in the municipality.

From an economic point of view, Bettembourg is recognized for its highly developed industrial site, as well as the expansion of the logistics centre and intermodal terminals on the outskirts of the municipality. Finally, Bettembourg is home to the “Parc Merveilleux”, the most popular children’s activity in the Grand Duchy and beyond. As the only wildlife park in Luxembourg, it is home to nearly 200 animals from five continents.
