Minett Trail: Lodge in Bettembourg

Lodge in Bettembourg ©COEBA

The journey to discover all the Minett Trail lodges continues with the project ‘Last Station’ by COEBA architects, situated at the entrance to the Parc Merveilleux in Bettembourg. It is designed to be both a haven of peace for hikers and an invitation to visit the park, which has fuelled the imagination of generations of children. The forecourt of the lodge consists of a stone containing iron ore, while the gate suggests that hikers have reached the end of their walk. These elements are part of the outdoor space imagined by wood sculptor Jhemp Bastin. The design of the extension and interior space is simple, functional and spacious. A noteworthy detail is that the aviary can be seen from the lodge thanks to two large openings in the exterior walls, inviting visitors to explore the park.
