Description

Heraclitus, the apostle of 'mobilism', a doctrine according to which 'nothing is permanent except change', so that 'being is eternally becoming'. Panta Rhei, 'everything flows', summarises for Heraclitus the thought of a world in perpetual motion.

Located in the Chiers Park in Differdange, the site is an ideal place to symbolise the futile and ephemeral nature of all life on earth: by the river that flows through it and by its immediate environment made up of constantly reconstituted landscapes. The park is also a place where neighbourhoods, generations, cultures and eras meet.

The project calls on the imagination of artists to create 3 sculptures which should, without constraints or directives, express the idea of Panta Rheî. The walker will be invited to meditate on the flow of becoming by contemplating the works created by the artists. Thematic conferences and a communication blog are planned.

Exposition des sculptures de Hugo Canoilas, Holly Hendry & Carolos Nogueira

L’exposition est constituée de 3 œuvres in-situ et réalisées par le portugais Hugo Canoilas, la britannique Holly Hendry et le portugais Carlos Nogueira. Chaque œuvre d’art est une expression artistique spatiale conçue par un artiste selon son interprétation et sa représentation de l’idée Pánta Rheî. Les œuvres sont intégrées dans le cadre naturel du parc de la Chiers.

Conférence de presse et vernissage en présence des artistes

Conférence de presse, suivie du vernissage des sculptures de Hugo Canoilas, Holly Hendry, Carlos Nogueira et Daniel Stegmann. À l'issue de la présentation des artistes et des œuvres, les participants seront invités à un vin d'honneur.
