Parc Merveilleux | Bettembourg
If you ask whether the most visited attraction in Luxembourg is the Grand Ducal Palace in the capital, the castle at Vianden or the vineyards on the Mosel, you may be surprised to hear that it is the Parc Merveilleux (Fairy-Tale Park) in Bettembourg that always comes top of the list. It is visited by well over 200,000 people every year, and is a real tourist magnet for young and old from all over the Greater Region – with good reason. From March to October, you can, for example, see animals from five continents, discover popular fairy tales through charming reconstructions, take a ride on the Pony Express, or play minigolf. The ‘zoo school’ at the park runs educational workshops telling children, including school groups, amazing facts about the animals in the park as well as other exotic species and their habitats.
