Esch2022, European Capital of Culture
In 2022, Esch-Alzette, the second largest city in Luxembourg, held the title of European Capital of Culture together with the 10 municipalities of the Pro-Sud and the 8 French municipalities of the “Communauté de Communes Pays Haut Val d’Alzette” (CCPHVA). Each year this label is awarded to a different city or area within the European Union.

"Past Forward" - Esch2022 takes a final look at the past and the future
To mark the formal end of the Esch2022 – European Capital of Culture project, various official final reports have now been submitted to the European Commission and a publication for the general public has been published here. Print copies of the publication “Past Forward” can be requested at info@esch2022.lu.
You will once again see how much is remaining. And look out for the new green “since E22” logo in the future! It will remind you of the many incredible places and projects that have come to life thanks to Esch2022.
